rando writes: "Hey everyone... Just wanted to let you folks know, that Big Dog and myself, are looking for drums to donate to children's institutions all across the state. So if you have a set of drums sitting around, contact us, and depending on the set, we will get them appraised. Then we donate them, to an organization, like Butterfield Youth Services, and now MO Girls Town, who have a 501(C3) classification. What this means to you, the donator, is that you get to deduct this off your taxes, the following year. Everyone wins, because you get the donation, and some needy kids, get something, that just might change their lives!!

"Summer is here and it is time for the Brown Bag Concert Series once again. The Friends of Historic Boonville have announced the musical line-up and invite the community to pack their lunches and enjoy the noon hour at the Hain House Memorial Gardens, 412 Fourth Street.
The concert schedule is:
• Friday June 5: music of Gumbo Bottoms, featuring Cathy Barton, Dave Para and cast
• Friday June 12: Edward Lang, a piano concert
• Friday June 19: Bluegrass Roundup, featuring the Taylor family
• Friday June 26: German Heritage Band
